FAIR USAGE POLICY

By accessing or using PreCrime: The Paul Chronicles (the "Game"), you agree to be bound by this Fair Usage Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the Game. This policy applies to all users, including registered players, visitors, and any third parties who interact with the platform. WMD reserves the right to update this policy at any time; continued use of the Game following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

You are permitted to access and play PreCrime: The Paul Chronicles for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes. You may create an account using a valid email address or Google OAuth login, participate in all available cases and gameplay features, earn badges and accumulate scores on the leaderboard, and purchase in-game credits for legitimate in-game tool use. You may share your gameplay achievements and screenshots on social media, provided you credit the game and do not misrepresent the content.

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban without notice: (a) using automated bots, scripts, or any software to artificially manipulate game scores, timers, or leaderboard rankings; (b) attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the game's source code, algorithms, or case data; (c) creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, gain unfair advantages, or manipulate leaderboard rankings; (d) sharing, selling, or transferring your account credentials to any third party; (e) using the platform to distribute spam, malware, or any harmful content; (f) impersonating other players, WMD staff, or any third party; (g) exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities — these must be reported to our team immediately; (h) using offensive, discriminatory, or harassing usernames or profile content.

In-game credits are a virtual currency with no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred between accounts, or refunded once used. Credits purchased through the platform are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law. WMD reserves the right to adjust credit pricing, tool costs, and the in-game economy at any time. Any credits obtained through unauthorised means (including exploits or chargebacks) will be removed and the account may be suspended. The credit store and merchandise store payment gateways are currently in development; all purchases are for demonstration purposes until Stripe integration is live.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. WMD will never ask for your password via email or chat. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. We collect and process personal data (including email address, login method, gameplay statistics, and session data) in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your gameplay data, scores, and badges are stored securely and used to power leaderboards, personalised gameplay, and platform analytics. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

All content within PreCrime: The Paul Chronicles — including but not limited to the game concept, case narratives, character designs, artwork, music, UI elements, and the PreCrime brand identity — is the exclusive intellectual property of WMD. This Game is an original work inspired by the science fiction genre and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any third-party film, television, or media franchise. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any game content is strictly prohibited. The "PRECRIME DIVISION" brand, "The Paul Chronicles" title, and all associated logos are trademarks of WMD.

WMD makes reasonable efforts to maintain continuous availability of the Game but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, unplanned outages, or circumstances beyond our control. WMD reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire service at any time with reasonable notice where possible. New cases, features, and content may be added or removed at WMD's discretion. The Game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WMD and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Game, including loss of data, loss of credits, or loss of progress. WMD's total aggregate liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid by that user for in-game credits in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in this policy limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

WMD reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of this Fair Usage Policy. Upon finding a violation, WMD may, at its sole discretion: issue a formal warning; temporarily suspend the account; permanently ban the account and forfeit all credits and progress; remove offending content; and/or pursue legal action where applicable. Decisions regarding enforcement are final. If you believe your account has been actioned in error, you may appeal by contacting our support team within 14 days of the action.

Reports of cheating, harassment, or exploitation help us protect the community and will be treated confidentially.
